Competition Winners 2008

Thanks to a very generous donation from Berkshire Cycles, we were able to run a fabulous competition offering 3 Hardrock mountain bikes as prizes, each worth approx. £300!!

The first winner was volunteer marshal Nigel Richards. Names of all marshals were entered into a free prize draw. Marshals and other helpers give up hours of their time to contribute to this community event and the charities. They are the foundation of the whole event. Those who helped in other ways such as helping put out and take down signs, registration, etc were obviously also included. They’re worth it.

The second winner was Linda Kelly who competed with colleagues from Boehringer Ingelheim. Linda won the prize draw where anyone raising a minimum of £20, received by AXLR8 by 14th July 2008, had their name automatically entered.

The final bike was won by Lesley Alford. Lesley won the prize for the most amount of sponsorship money raised with the staggering sum of £1127.50.
