There are 3 chances to win ....
1. Most sponsorship money raised:
Go out and hunt for cash from friends, family and colleagues. See if your employer will match or even double the money you raise! The causes are worth it: Cancer Research UK and Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance. The money must be received by AXLR8 by 30th September 2009 and must be for either of these 2 charities, or split between them. If you use an on-line method for raising the cash such as “JustGiving.com", then you must provide evidence of the donations sent through. Only net donation amounts will be counted in any competition net of hoped for enhancements such as Gift Aid. Any cheque should be made out for either of the two charities and sent to the collection point (Mrs Liz Dearling, 1 Croft Close, Wokingham, RG41 4AN) or send a printout of evidence of your collections online to Liz or an email to Helen.
2. Prize Draw for Marshals
Marshals and other helpers give up hours of their time to contribute to this community event and the charities. They are the foundation of the whole event. There is a draw especially for marshals. The marshals will each have a ticket put in the “hat” for helping this year and an extra ticket if they have helped in previous years. Those who help in other ways such as helping put out and take down signs, registration, etc will obviously also be included. They’re worth it.
3. Sponsored Entrants’ prize draw.
All the sponsorship for the charities (usually £3-4k each year) comes from a very small number of competitors – perhaps as low as 50. If one hundred more people just came up with a small sum, it could potentially double that amount. Therefore, to encourage those who help raise money for the charities, the third bike will be won in a draw where anyone raising a minimum of £20, received by AXLR8 by 14th July 2009, is automatically entered. All you have to do is send a cheque for either of the two charities to the collection point (Mrs Liz Dearling, 1 Croft Close, Wokingham, RG41 4AN)
by 14th July 2009. Please make cheques out to either “Cancer Research UK” or “Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance”. Alternatively, if you want to donate 50/50, then please make your cheque out to “AXLR8 Triathlon” and we will split it.
A cash or voucher alternative is not available in any category, nor any other product.
The Competition is administrated fairly by AXLR8 and their decision is final.
